Ostara - the spring equinox. A time when day and night are the same length, and the natural world springs back to life! It's one of my favourite times of year; it feels like a magical portal that we can step through after winter and find the world re-born after the deep hibernation of winter.
Litha - the summer solstice. A magical point in the year, when we have more lightness than darkness in our days. The sunrise on summer solstice is one of the most beautiful things to celebrate, as we gather together around stone circles to welcome the sun.
Mabon - the autumn equinox. As the wheel turns, the harvest mice run in the fields and the day and the night return to equal lengths. An abundant time of year, as hibernating creatures gather all they need to get ready to snuggle down.
Yule - the winter solstice. In the middle of the darkest time, we celebrate the longest night of the year and the gradual return of the light. We celebrate the sunrise and the promise of brighter days, as we gather together under evergreen boughs.
You can order the prints individually, or as a whole set, and you can choose from paper sizes A6 (14.8 x 10.5cm) to A4 (21 x 29.7cm) when you place your order.
The prints are also available as part of a magical collaboration with Brambles & Me - a natural yarn dyer who is curating a beautiful box for each of the celebrations. The boxes include a super squishy skein of yarn, an A6 print and a gorgeous seasonal gift, carefully selected by Mia. You can find Mia's website here: https://bramblesandme.co.uk/
This artwork was painstakingly created digitally, and then printed onto beautiful, thick Hahnemühle mould-made paper, produced at an environmentally-friendly paper mill in Germany and printed by us here in the UK. The paper is made from 100% cotton scraps and has a rich, slightly dappled texture. It is museum quality and printed with high quality dye inks, to prevent it fading.
The print comes signed and unmounted, safely backed on coloured recycled card, and wrapped in biodegradable cellophane to protect it. The print is pretty enough to be given as a gift as it is, or ready for you to find the perfect frame.
A set of all the prints in one frame or a set of matching frames is going to look STUNNING on your wall!
Postage included: First class Royal Mail postage within the UK. Postage prices vary for Royal Mail standard delivery for the rest of the world.
